To celebrate 30 years since Alphajay first stepped behind some decks or a DAW, he revisited the late 90s once again treating us to a 2-hour Happy Hardcore live-stream on Twitch, then followed up with some Trance, Jungle and Drum & Bass
For the latter, he created a one-off Christmas-themed mash-up of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” and his own neurofunk-style Drum & Bass track, specifically as his intro for the HYPEFAM Global’s 2024 12 Streams of Christmas live event. It was a hit, and with one thing leading to another, he decided to finish the track and subsequently produced both his first EVER and our FIRST Drum & Bass release to kick off 2025!
Now even by our standards, it’s a bit mad – and you’re guaranteed to either LOVE IT or HATE IT – so those with a nervous disposition are politely excused – but with it’s junglist-style vocals, heavy neurofunk synths and multiple basses and a touch of acid – we vibe it massively and are proud for it to be our first release on 2025 and our first of hopefully many, Drum & Bass tracks! (Remember, with C&D it’s all about the vibe – we don’t get hung up on genre, numbers or statistics!)
So let us know what you think!
Released: 14th February 2025.
After a 20 year hiatus, Alphajay is back in the studio and behind the decks with his eclectic mix of high-energy EDM featuring head-nodding hooks, cheesy pianos and catchy vocals
A lover of all things energetic and “feel good”, Alphajay’s musical style ranges from Dance/Electro Pop and Ibiza-ready bangers, to underground Tech House with the occasional UKG or breakbeat twist.
After two releases with G-Mafia Records in 2023, Alphajay joins Cease & Desist Records with his improved sound for 2024. With a sound that lends itself across multiple genres, expect to see a lot more from Alphajay with Cease & Desist over the coming months.
